The Privacy Officer oversees compliance, answers questions, and handles requests and complaints regarding personal information.

What personal information we collect

We may collect the following categories of personal information:

• **Service requests & scheduling:** quotes/estimates on request, appointment preferences, service notes/history (non-financial). No payments are collected on the website.

• Service logistics: site/service location, appointment date/time, access instructions, photographs of equipment/installation sites you provide or we take with your permission when necessary.

• Marketing preferences: newsletter/offer opt‑ins, consent records, unsubscribe status.

• Minors: We do not knowingly provide Services directly to persons under 18. See Minors & consent.

Why we collect it (purposes) & legal bases

We collect and use personal information only for specific, legitimate purposes and to the extent necessary:

• **Service administration (non-financial):** to send estimates upon request, manage appointments and accounts, and keep required records. No billing or payments occur on our website.

• Quality, analytics & improvement: to understand usage, fix problems, and improve the Services.

• Marketing with consent: to send updates, promotions, and surveys you opt into; you may withdraw consent anytime.

We do not use personal information for incompatible purposes without obtaining your consent.

How we collect it (means)

Cookies & online tracking

Advertising & conversion measurement (Google)

• We use Google Tag (gtag) on our site to load measurement tools such as Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking. These tools place cookies and collect identifiers (e.g., cookie IDs, IP address truncated where available, device info, page URLs, events like page views and conversions you complete after interacting with our ads).

• If remarketing or audience features are enabled, Google may use your interactions on our site to help us show ads that are more relevant to you across Google and its partners’ properties. These features are optional and run only if you accept marketing cookies in our banner. You can withdraw consent any time via the banner or your browser settings.

Wix & default website technologies

Our website is built on Wix. Wix uses necessary cookies for security, network management, and accessibility, and may place functional/analytics cookies to operate the platform. Our banner separates necessary cookies (always on) from optional analytics/marketing cookies (consent‑based).

Sharing & disclosures (including outside Québec)

We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed with:

• **Service providers/“processors”:** hosting, email/SMS delivery, booking/scheduling, CRM/helpdesk, analytics and advertising measurement (e.g., Google for Analytics/Ads, Wix as our website host). They may access personal information solely to perform services for us under written agreements.

• Professional advisors & authorities: accountants, auditors, insurers, law enforcement, and regulators, where required or permitted by law.

​

• Transaction events: if we engage in a financing, merger, sale, or other transaction, subject to legal safeguards.

If personal information is communicated outside Québec, we first conduct a privacy impact assessment and ensure the information will receive adequate protection through contractual safeguards. You can contact us for a list of jurisdictions and safeguards in place.

Retention, destruction & anonymization

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes set out above and to meet legal/operational requirements (e.g., tax/audit). When no longer needed, we securely destroy it or anonymize it per recognized best practices where permitted. Retention periods vary by record type; you may request details.

Security

We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including access controls, least‑privilege principles, encryption in transit where applicable, and contractual obligations for service providers. No method is perfectly secure; please contact us if you suspect any risk or incident.

Automated decision‑making

If we ever make a decision based exclusively on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects for you, we will inform you at the latest when we communicate the decision, provide the main factors and parameters that led to it, and offer a way to have a person review the decision. Currently, Electro 7 Services does not rely on such automated decisions for customers.

Minors & consent

If we collect personal information about a minor under 14, we require the consent of a parent or legal guardian unless collection is clearly for the minor’s benefit. Minors aged 14 or older may consent themselves. We do not knowingly market to children.

Your rights

Subject to legal limits, you have the right to:

• Rectify inaccurate or incomplete information;

​

• Withdraw consent to optional processing (e.g., marketing) without affecting services that do not rely on that consent;

​

• De‑indexation/erasure: request cessation of dissemination or de‑indexing of hyperlinks giving access to personal information that causes you harm or contravenes the law or a court order;

Incident reporting

If an incident of confidentiality presenting a risk of serious injury occurs, we will take reasonable measures to reduce risks, notify the CAI and affected individuals as required, and keep a register of incidents. Service providers must promptly inform us of any breach affecting information they handle for us.

Third‑party links & services

Our Services may link to third‑party websites or integrate third‑party tools. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review them.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Material changes will be announced on our website and, where appropriate, communicated directly. The Effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
